Nutrigenomics

Genetic traits studied in diet, fitness, everyday health and stress, for general wellness and information. GeneCore puts diet, fitness and health traits in one report; each area is also sold on its own.

About Nutrigenomics
  • Self-pay only. We don’t bill insurance for this test.

Our nutrition, supplement, athletic and wellbeing reports are for general wellness and information. The evidence behind these associations is less established than for our clinical panels, and these reports are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Pharmacogenomics

How your genes are likely to affect the way you process medicines, in one plain report to bring to the prescriber who manages them.

About pharmacogenomics
A frosted weekly pill organizer with blank lids beside the sample collection tube on pale stone.

GenePGx

How your genes affect the way you process everyday, pain and mental-health medicines, with a supplement view

Checks selected known variants in 15 genes, plus CYP2D6 copy number, by genotyping.

$399self-pay price

One price, paid when you order. We don’t send a claim to your health insurance.

Pharmacogenomic results describe how your body is likely to process certain medicines. They do not tell you whether a medicine will work for you, and they are not dosing instructions. Never start, stop or change a medication because of a genetic result. Bring it to the prescriber who manages your medicines.

GeneCancer

Whether you carry any of the selected inherited variants this panel checks that are linked with higher cancer risk, to talk through with your doctor or a genetic counselor.

About GeneCancer
Three generations of women’s hands resting one on another on a linen tablecloth.

GeneCancer

Genotyping of selected inherited variants linked to higher cancer risk

Checks selected variants across 108 genes, including BRCA1 and BRCA2, by genotyping.

$399self-pay price

One price, paid when you order. Selected variants only, by genotyping. Not a full-gene test.

If you or a close relative has had cancer, ask your doctor about full-gene clinical testing.

Testing for inherited cancer risk is a screening test, not a diagnosis. A result with no variant found does not mean you will not develop cancer, and finding a variant does not mean you will. Talk to your doctor or a genetic counselor before making any decision about screening, medication or surgery.

For families

A test for your baby, alongside the newborn screening your state performs at birth, to talk through with your pediatrician.

About GeneBaby
  • At checkout, a parent or legal guardian confirms they are ordering for their baby.

GeneBaby does not replace the newborn screening your state performs at birth, and it is not a diagnostic test. Deciding to test a child is a decision to make with your pediatrician.

Oral Health DNA

The microbes and viruses in your saliva, in a plain report to talk through with your dentist.

About Oral Health DNA

Oral Health DNA is a laboratory-developed test performed in our own CLIA-certified laboratory. New York is the exception: orders shipped there are completed through a physician order or a reference laboratory permitted in New York. It has not been cleared or approved by the FDA. It measures the DNA of microbes in your saliva, not your DNA: it is not a genetic test, not a diagnosis, and not a prediction of any disease.

Questions

Which test should I start with?

Start with the question you are bringing. For your diet, fitness and health traits in one report, GeneCore. For how you are likely to process medicines, GenePGx. For selected inherited variants linked to cancer risk, GeneCancer; if you or a close relative has had cancer, ask your doctor about full-gene clinical testing first. Each test page says who it is for, and who it isn’t for.

Is my whole genome read?

No. Your sample is genotyped: we read selected positions in the genes each test covers. Genotyping does not read every position in those genes, or your whole genome.

How do I pay?

Each test has one self-pay price, shown on its card and its page, and paid once when you order.

What is the guarantee?

Full refund within 30 days of ordering, as long as your results haven’t been delivered. Once your results are delivered, the guarantee no longer applies.
